I’ll show you how to set up Terrarium TV on your FireStick, Fire TV, or Fire TV Cube in this guide. So, if it’s something you’ve been looking for, your search has come to an end.
For those who are unfamiliar with Terrarium TV, it is one of the best Amazon Fire Stick apps that works similarly to Netflix but without the need for a paid subscription. Without paying a dime, you can watch movies, TV shows, and other videos. Furthermore, you do not need to jailbreak your FireStick in order to use it. If you’re wondering whether Terrarium TV is legal, read this.
If you’re a regular user of Terrarium TV, you’re probably already aware that the app’s developers made an abrupt announcement that the app will be shut down and will no longer be available as of right now. You’ll be prompted to update it when you open it. Updating the app, on the other hand, will have no effect. You are no longer able to use the app. Since October 2018, the app has been unavailable for download.
This came as a huge surprise to me. On my Fire TV Stick, I’ve been a regular user of Terrarium TV. I’m going to miss it terribly. Terrarium TV was, without a doubt, the best streaming app of its time.
If you’re looking for alternatives to Terrarium TV, take a look at the best alternatives.
UPDATE: The app is no longer functional.
But what if I told you that you could keep watching your favorite shows on Terrarium TV even after they were removed? Yes, there is a modified version of the Terrarium TV that does not require you to update the app and allows you to watch all of the currently available on-demand movies and shows.
Even though the app’s developers no longer support it, it continues to scrape new content. However, if you run into a bug, there are no developers available to assist you. So, if you’re a big fan of this fantastic app like I am, you’ll want to keep using it as long as you can. As a result, I’ve updated this guide to assist you in downloading the patched/modified Terrarium TV.
Now that you’ve learned everything there is to know about Terrarium TV, I’ll show you how to install it on your Amazon Fire Stick. I’ll include two working methods, from which you can select the one that is most convenient for you.
Users of the FireStick, take note!
Governments and internet service providers keep a close eye on your online activity, and accessing copyrighted content on your Fire TV Stick could land you in hot water. Your IP address, 58.7.175.233, is currently visible to everyone. I strongly advise you to get the best FireStick VPN to hide your IP address and stream your favorite shows safely.
ExpressVPN, the fastest and most secure VPN on the market, is what I use. It’s not only simple to set up on any device, but it also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Plus, you can always get a refund if you’re not completely satisfied. On top of that, ExpressVPN is currently offering three extra months for free on their annual plan!
Here are some of the reasons why you should always use a VPN.
Install Terrarium TV on FireStick Using the Downloader App : Method 1
For fewer ads and a better streaming experience, the regular Terrarium TV app recommended using the Yes Player. However, several users recently informed us that Yes Player was not downloading. We recommend using MX Player as your default video player now that the regular version of the app is no longer available.
The following steps will show you how to first install the Terrarium TV patched version, and then how to install MX Player on a FireStick. Before you open the Terrarium TV app, make sure you have MX Player installed.
Turn on “Allow apps from unknown sources” on your FireStick before we begin. Navigate to Settings > System > Developer Options to do so. Now, simply follow the steps outlined below.
NOTE: If you already have the previous version of Terrarium TV installed on your Fire Stick, you must uninstall it before proceeding with the steps to install the patched/modified Terrarium TV app.
Step 1: If you don’t already have it, download the Downloader app from the Amazon Store. On FireStick main screen, go to the search option and look for the Downloader app.
Step 2: Go to Your Apps & Channels and open the Downloader app. You will be presented with the Downloader’s home screen as shown below. Select and click the right-hand space for the URL field.
Step 3: A virtual keyboard appears on the screen. Go to https://www.firesticktricks.com/ttv and type in the URL.
Step 4: Press the GO key.
Step 5: (Only if you are redirected is this step required.) If the file downloads automatically, skip this step.) You will be redirected to a webpage in the Downloader app’s Browser section. To download, click the Download button.
Step 6: Wait for the Terrarium TV Modded APK file to be downloaded by the Downloader on your Fire TV / Fire Stick / Fire TV Cube.
Step 7: The Downloader app will begin the installation process as soon as the file is downloaded. Go to the window’s bottom right corner. You’ll notice that the Next button has been replaced with Install.
To continue, click Install.
Step 8: Sit back and wait for the installation to finish.
Step 9: The Terrarium TV modded version has been installed on your FireStick device, as indicated by the App Installed notification.
Do not yet press the OPEN button. Click the DONE button. To use Terrarium TV, we must first install MX Player. Any other media player may not be compatible with the modded version.
Step 10: Return to the Downloader window and select Delete.
Step 11: Select Delete once more. The Terrarium TV APK will be removed from your FireStick as a result of this action. You don’t need it any longer because you already have the app installed.
The MX Player will now be installed on the FireStick.
Step 12: On the left side of the Downloader, click the Home tab once more.
Re-enter the URL field.
Step 13: Go to http://bit.ly/mxfire and type in the URL.
Activate the GO button.
Step 14: Hold your breath while the APK downloads. The installation will begin once the file has been downloaded. On the bottom right, click Install.
Step 15: The App Installed notification will appear once more after the MX Player has been installed.
Click the DONE button. MX Player does not need to be opened directly.
The patched version of Terrarium TV is now installed on the FireStick. All you have to do now is go to Your Apps & Channels and launch Terrarium TV.
The Changelog prompt will be displayed first. Click the OK button.
Choose MX Player as your default player when prompted.
When the Disclaimer window appears, accept the terms and conditions.
The Terrarium TV app has been successfully installed on your Amazon Fire Stick. Have fun!!!
How to ‘Safely’ Use a Fire Stick with Terrarium TV
Before you start streaming with Terrarium TV on your Fire Stick, keep in mind that your ISP and government will be able to see everything you do. According to reports, the current version of TTV keeps track of the users’ location. This means that streaming copyrighted content (such as free movies and TV shows) could land you in legal hot water.
With a VPN, you can hide your online streaming and browsing activities. A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, allows you to circumvent ISP throttling, government surveillance, and content geo-blocking.
ExpressVPN is installed on my Fire Stick, phone, and computer. After testing a number of paid and free VPNs, I can confidently state that ExpressVPN is the fastest and most secure VPN available.
We do not condone the infringement of copyright laws. But what if you unintentionally stream content from an unauthorized source? It is not always easy to distinguish between a legitimate and an illegal source.
Here’s how to get started with ExpressVPN on your FireStick and keep your streaming activities private.
Step 1: CLICK HERE to join ExpressVPN. A 30-day money-back guarantee is included. Meaning, you can use it for free for the first 30-days and then request a full refund if you are not satisfied with the results (which is highly unlikely).
Step 2: Turn on your Fire TV/Stick and navigate to the “Search” option on the far left. Now type “Expressvpn” (without the quotes) into the search bar and select ExpressVPN from the list of results that appears.
Step 3: To install the ExpressVPN app for Fire TV / Stick, click “Download.”
Step 4: Launch the app and log in using the credentials you created when purchasing an ExpressVPN subscription. Select “Sign in” from the drop-down menu.
Step 5: To connect to a VPN server, click the Power icon. That is all there is to it. With the fastest and best VPN for FireStick, your connection is now secure.
More information on using ExpressVPN with Fire TV / Stick can be found here.
Method 2: Using Apps2Fire, install Terrarium on your FireStick.
This is the quickest and most straightforward method of installing Terrarium TV on your FireStick. However, you must already have this app installed on your Android phone for it to work. Please try a different method if this isn’t the case. Follow the steps below if you still want to use this method for whatever reason.
STEP 1: Turn on “ADB debugging” and “Apps from Unknown Sources” on your FireStick. You can find it under Settings > System/Device > Developer Options.
STEP 2: We’ll now need your FireStick’s IP address. To do so, go to Settings > System/Device > About > Network. The IP address can be found on the right-hand side. Take down the IP address in your head.
STEP 3: Download and install Terrarium TV APK on your Android smartphone if it is not already installed.
STEP 4: Go to the Google Play Store and download the Apps2Fire app if you don’t already have it on your Android phone (Original).
STEP 5: Open the Apps2Fire app on your smartphone. Enter the IP address of the FireStick that was noted in Step 2 above in SETUP.
STEP 6: Go to the “Local Apps” menu in the Apps2Fire app and search for the Terrarium TV app. You will be given the option to “Install” when you click on the app. As soon as you click “Install,” the app will begin uploading to your FireStick.
STEP 7: And that’s the end of it. We installed the Terrarium TV app on the Fire Stick with Apps2Fire.
